Trash The Dress !!!

Ever wondered what to do with your wedding dress after the wedding is over? If you are like most brides, your gorgeous expensive gown is still in its acid free box, carefully wrapped in tissue paper and stored never to see the light of day again. We all seem to have the naive belief that our daughters will want to wear them for their wedding, as if fashion will stand still…

Instead of leaving the dress in your wardrobe (or heaven forbid, under your bed), what about using it in a portrait shoot with a difference!! Re-live the glamour of your wedding day without the stress. There are no limits to the possibilities - a lake, the countryside, a swimming pool, a scrap yard. You and your dress can get as dirty (or remain as clean) as you want.

And if you can’t bear to use your own wedding dress, just let me know. We will get one off ebay or something!!!

Come on lets have fun.

Special Offer.

The first person who calls for a Trash The Dress session will recieve a 20 page photobook FREE OF CHARGE.

Wedding Cars In Northampton

This afternoon I spent a very enjoyable couple of hours in the Northamptonshire countryside.

I was at Holdenby House to photograph a collection of wedding cars for Hardings Bridal Cars of Northampton.

The owner Jonathan Harding had added a couple of new cars to his collection and asked me to photograph them for his website.

I have worked with Jonathan quite a bit over the past few years at weddings.

These cars are fantastic, the attention to detail that is given when restoring them is wonderful.

These are not your normal bridal carriages that you see at weddings around Northampton.

Focus on Imaging 2008

Tomorrow (Tuesday) I will be attending the industries annual trade show in Birmingham.

Focus on Imaging is the major trade show for photographers and is held every year at the nec in Birmingham.

Apart from stands showing the latest in gear, the most enjoyable part is checking out any new products and albums I can offer in the coming months and also to attend various Masterclasses to pick up some new tips.

Pat and Les Pre Wedding Shoot

We are getting very near the wedding season now.

Saturday afternoon I met Pat and Les at Delapre Abbey in Northampton for their Pre Wedding shoot.

It was another blustery day but we managed to create some memorable images.

Pat and Les are to be married in April at The Falcon, Castle Ashby in Northamptonshire.

They will be joined with 60 or so guests for the Wedding.

The other side of the camera

This morning I visited a photographer friend, Carole Kelly.

Carole has a studio in Kettering and the purpose of the visit was to have some pictures taken for the new website.

Its amazing how different it feels being on the opposite side of the camera.

After about an hour of trying different shots, we came up with this.

Thanks Carole and I promise I will buy you a new lens after breaking yours with my mug !!

Busy Week

This past week has been so busy.

On Monday I met up with 4 other local photographers , Carole Kelly, Nigel Ord-Smith, Patrick Leonard and John Bright for a brainstorming session.

We exchanged ideas over lunch at The Trading Post in Kettering.

I feel it is important that local photographers get to know one another and exchange ideas as it benefits everyone.

We intend to meet up every month and also arrange various model shoots around the county.

This week has also been very busy with our Cherub babies.

Here is Daniel who I photographed this morning.

On Saturday I was in Brackely photographing Matt and Clare,s Pre Wedding shoot. They are getting married in April.

I shall post some images soon.
