Beauty Artistry

Katrina popped over on Sunday with 4 of her friends.

The purpose of her visit was to photograph her friends for her website.

Katrina is a Make Up artist that we work with her website is www.beautyartistry.co.uk.

We had a great time with the girls and produced some lovely results.

How ridiculous !

Its a pet gripe of mine that a lot of Registrars wont let us photograph the couple actually signing the marriage register after the service.

Its an integral part of the wedding that couples want recording but due to red tape a lot of the time we are not allowed.

Busy Week Ahead

Next week is promising to be a varied week.

Over the weekend I will be photographing 4 models for a friends Make Up portfolio.

On Tuesday I have a model shoot to do in a local Rape field, it should be a fun session.

Then on Wednesday we have a Trash The Dress session arranged around Northampton.

Trash The Dress is becoming very popular in the UK. Originating from America it basically means photographing a Bride in her wedding gown in various location, fields, the street basically anywhere different.

Although called Trash The Dress we dont actually Trash The Dress, that would be plain silly !!!

It gives the Bride the opportunity to wear her dress again after the wedding and produce some wonderful fashion type images without the time constraints on the wedding day.

Pop back later next week and I shall post some of the images - weather permitting.

What a Doll

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Little Amy for her last session for her Cherubs folio.

As it was a nice sunny day we ventured outside to take some portraits.

Where we are based we are lucky enough to literally walk through our back gate into a beautiful country lane that leads to a Lake.

It has been our intention to utilise this as much as possible but due to the wet weather yesterday was our first chance this year.

Little Amy loved it in the sunshine picking the Daisies...........

SWPP April Competition

What a month !!

It has been over 12 months since I entered The Society Of Wedding and Portrait Photographers print competition and we picked up 3 merits then.

Well this month I decided it was high time to get back on the competition circuit and entered 6 prints into the Monthly competition.

This competition is entered by photographers all over the world and is an excellent way of seeing where we are compared to the rest.

Well, I picked up 2 Bronze Awards, 3 Silver Awards and a Gold !!!!!!

Matt and Claire's Wedding

Last Saturday was the Wedding of Matt and Claire.

The Wedding was at Brackley Church with the reception in Aynho

Katrina

Katrina is a Make-Up artist and wanted some images for her website.

Jo and Neils Wedding Kettering 12th April

On Saturday it was Jo and Neils wedding.

United Reform church then onto Wicksteed Park for the reception.

A very large wedding with over 145 guests.

Weather wise we had the lot !!!

Blazing sunshine, Wind, Rain ...................... and it was a bit nippy !!

But we managed to capture some great images.

Pat and Les The Falcon Castle Ashby

On Friday (11th April) I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Pat and Les.

The couple were married at The Falcon in Castle Ashby Northamptonshire , which is a wonderful venue.

The weather was kind to us and we only had one very brief shower.

It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of the couples day as Pat and Les are two of the nicest people you could meet.

Cherubs Roadshow

On Tuesday I made the normally short journey to The Hilton Hotel in Coventry for the annual Master Photographers Associations Cherubs Roadshow.

However the normally 45 minute journey turned into 2 hours as a lorry decided to leave the M1 just after junction 15a (i got on at j15 !!!!!!!) and the result was 4 mile talebacks.

This event is held every year for all the Cherubs photographers in the UK.

Its a good opportunity to network with other photographers and swap ideas etc.

Also we had the oportunity to listen to International Photographer Bambi Cantrell from california.

On another note, while I was there I took the opportunity to present our CEO of the MPA a handful of cheques kindly donated by you for our Little Angels Promotion. The cheques will be passed onto PACE which is the MPA charity this year.

We still need more Little Angels for the calendar so please call to book your child in.

Remember the ten pounds session fee is donated to PACE.
