It was a lovely spring like day and Carole Kelly and myself spent a very enjoyable few hours at various locations in Market Harborough including an old wrecked church.

It has been an amazing week for photographing babies.

Heres little Owen, he is 15 weeks old and was such a good boy.

Morgan Cherubs Session

Little Morgan just 10 weeks old.

It was has first session in the studio today and he was such a good boy, we could have carried on photographing him all day.

Megan 2 Year Old Shoot

Here is 2 year old Megan.

We decided to venture out to a local park.

The day was perfect for a stroll in the leaves creating some lovely images.

Kirsty and Chris - Wedding - Weldon Church

Kirsty and Chris were married at Weldon Church on Friday.

It was a great day as the weather held which was a blessing as they had over 150 guests who travelled from all over the world to witness the marriage.

Heres one of my favourite images taken from my hard drive this week.

On a recent trip to Egypt I photographed Ali, the local DJ.

Using off camera flash at Dusk, I just love the atmosphere.

Ali and Nas-Tia Egypt Shoot

I have just returned from a 2 week trip to Egypt.

While I was there I had the pleasure of doing a shoot with 2 local budding models Ali and Nas-Tia.

They wanted some shots to launch their modelling careers.

Ali is the local DJ from the hotel and Nas-Tia is a student from Russia.

Here is a slide show of some of the images.

We started at a local deserted town, then went into the desert and finished off on the beach.

Jo and Tim Photoshoot Northampton

We were in Northampton this morning photographing Jo and Tim.

Lovely sunny day but very cold so we werent out for long.




Here are a couple of still shots from the shoot for the techies wanting to know how they were shot, as I know there are a few photographers that look at the blog hahaha.

Tim on his own.

The daylight was balanced with the Elinchrom Ranger using a small soft box just to the right of camera. A conversion to Black and White with a little burning in of the background.


For the full length shot of Jo a 16mm lens was used for dramatic effect. Once again using the ranger pack with the soft box left of the camera. And also a bit of jiggery pokery in photoshop.




2 shots taken using the Ring Flash ( my new best friend hahahah)

I always shoot on Manual using a lightmeter for both the ambient light and the flash. You have so much more control than letting the cameras automatic meter control the final result.

Automatic is for point and shoot photographers in my opinion.


Finally an available light shot, using the open shade.

Taylor Makeover Northampton

Taylor came the the studio today with her Mum for a Your Moments Makeover Shoot.

We had great fun and I think Mum enjoyed watching as much as Taylor enjoyed the shoot.
