Location Child Photography - Tutorial Day

Yesterday I had a fellow photographer Kim Shaw visit as she wanted some pointers on Location lighting and also Lightroom work.

I arranged 2 little models Mia and Scarlett and also Donna their mother to pose for us.

We shot all morning at a local wood and pond and the girls were absolute stars.

Here are a few shots from the session.

Most of the shots were taken in the shade of the trees, giving a very soft directional light.

The shot below shows how the image above was lit. Purely by holding a reflector (held by Mum in this case) over Mia stopping the uneven dappled lighting.

The above shot was taken into the sun using a reflector to bounce light onto the subjects.

The final shot of Mum on her own, this time we used a flashgun shot through a white brolly to balance with the daylight behind.

If you would like a location session like this please call the studio 01604 416005
